2024 Art Show “Inspired Reflections” Call to Artists

Delavan’s history is reflected in the arts: from first inhabitants, Native Americans and Woodland culture Mound Builders, to circus performers and clowns, artists and architects, a once well known Art Colony that flourished in Delavan from 1892-1920, in the music found in the ballrooms around Delavan Lake during the “Big Band Era” of 1930-40’s, and in the decades following, by inspired artists, reflecting a wide variety of mediums. Using their voices, art, and talents in many ways, bringing awareness to: discrimination, hunger, homelessness, promoting peace, mental health/wellness issues, and more. They have used their talents to remind us of the beauty, and the joy, in creation, and in reflecting the sacred all around.

In that vein, Christ Church, (in Delavan’s history since 1844) continues to promote arts of all kinds, from artists near and far, in publishing this Call to Artists. To Artists (all ages), who paint, draw, sculpt, carve, weld, sew, quilt, collage, sing, dance, write stories or poems, play music, assemble installations, abstract, or contemporary. We invite you to display and share ways you were inspired and influenced in creating your art, and hope you will be part of the 2024 Art Show “Inspired Reflections”.
