Dean & Rector Search Update ~ October 4, 2022

At the church service on Sunday, October 2, Fr. Benjamin announced an upcoming Parish meeting to be held after the 9:00 service on Sunday, October 23. One of the topics of discussion at this meeting will be the search for our new Dean.

Prior to the Vestry changing the full-time position posting to part-time, due to the low number of applicants, we received several full time applications. The Search Committee has interviewed several viable candidates, however, the $60,000 financial package we are offering has not met the level of expectation the candidates require for a full-time position. With that in mind, the Vestry has voted to suspend the search until the next stewardship campaign has been implemented. The hope is to increase pledges sufficiently to be able to offer a competitive package.

Please make every effort to attend the Parish meeting on October 23. Your thoughts, prayers, and ideas are very important to the future of the Cathedral. Please pray for guidance as our search committee proceeds during this time of discernment. If you are unable to attend the meeting, contact the office with any questions or concerns.
