Calling all children to sing at Christmas Eve service

Greetings, CCC Community!

On Christmas Eve, we will be inviting all children in the congregation to come up and sing “Hark, the herald angels sing” during Offertory. Kids will sing verse one alone, and the congregation will join for verses 2 and 3, so especially for littles, they can just learn verse 1! (See text below!)

All children will be welcome, so if you have visiting grandchildren or nieces or nephews, etc., we would love for them to join us! We’ll have song sheets printed and ready for them that day, but here are the words for verse 1:

Hark! The herald angels sing
glory to the newborn King!
Peace on earth and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled!
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
join the triumph of the skies;
with the angelic host proclaim
Christ is born in Bethlehem!
Hark! the herald angels sing
glory to the newborn King!

Thank you all! I look forward to hearing those sweet voices on Christmas Eve!

Kate
