Retirement Notices
Thank you so much for your many years of faithful service!!
The Rev. Bill Radant
After 23 years of service to Our Saviour’s, Lugerville the Rev’d William Radant has stepped down from active ministry. Easter Sunday was his last Sunday serving Our Saviour as priest. For 13 years, Fr. Radant served both Our Saviour’s and St. Margaret’s, Park Falls until the latter’s closure in 2013. His “re-retirement” at the age of 92 will alleviate the 120 mile round trip he made faithfully for more than two decades. His service to the good people of Price County has buttressed a parish filled with good and faithful Episcopalians and kept the church viable on the southern border of the Chequamegon Nicolet National Forest, and his well-earned departure will surely bring changes to the parish, but leaves them with a strong foundation and many indelible memories. The leadership of Our Saviour’s is working with Diocesan Administration to determine their next steps in continuing the good work of the parish.
The Rev. Bill Power
Deacon Bill Power, who has been serving as deacon at St. John’s, Sparta retired from active parish ministry effective March 26th. Deacon Power has served the good people there alongside Fr. Peter Augustine and the Ben. Jo Glasser since 2019. Though Deacon Power intends to continue serving on some diocesan committees and councils, his weekly service to St. John’s has concluded. In his own words to St. John’s, he said “I wish nothing but the peace of Christ for all the parishioners here at St. John’s. You will always be in my heart. I can never thank you enough or repay the love and caring you have given Stephanie, our daughter Trish and myself during our time together.”
