Free Narcan Training ~ September 29th 6:30 – 8 PM
The Universalist Unitarian Congregation will offer in-person Narcan Training Sept. 29th in collaboration with EC Public Health. Free, and each participant gets a free Narcan Kit at the end. We’re trying to get kits into as many hands as possible, and are first focusing on the downtown area (our neighbors).
Equip yourself with the tools to save a life. The EC County Health Dept. will lead this training on how to identify an overdose and how to use the Narcan spray.
Opioid overdoses can happen anywhere which is why the drug is available not only for first responders, but for families and friends who fear their loved one is at risk of overdosing on opioids, and for people who work with the general public. You will receive a free Narcan kit after completing the training.
This is an IN PERSON training at the UU Congregation (421 S. Farwell Street, Eau Claire, WI). It is free and open to the public. Registration is required so we know how many kits are needed.
The UUC follows CDC and EC County Health guidelines for COVID. If infection rates are high in the county, we will ask participants to mask for this training.
