Dean & Rector Search Update
The search for a new Dean is a work in progress. We have had three candidates apply. Two of the candidates withdrew their names from consideration and the third was deemed not to be a good match by the search committee. The Vestry met with the Bishop for guidance with the process. Bishop Gunter was very encouraging and had some helpful suggestions as we move forward. The Vestry and the Bishop agree that there are reasons to be optimistic about finding the right candidate for our congregation; this could take some time. The current compensation package we are offering is $60,000; which is less than average for a full time Dean. The Vestry voted to modify the posting and list the position as part-time.
Fr. Benjamin has graciously agreed to extend his contract and will continue to be our Consultant-Interim Rector.
