G Fam Update Newsletter- Final SEMINARY Edition

Hello Friends,

This is the last SEMINARY edition of news from the Gumulauskas family! Our season of seminary life at Virginia Theological Seminary is coming to an end. Next week Mike graduates with a Masters of Divinity degree and kicks off a whirlwind season of celebration and transition for our family. We have 2 graduations, 1 migration, and 1 ordination… saying goodbye to friends, visiting family and old friends, packing, moving…. to Darien, Georgia!

Mike has accepted a position as Rector of St. Andrews and St. Cyprian’s Espicopal Churches in Darien, Georgia! It is a beautiful town on the coast of Georgia, about an hour south of Savannah. He will officially start his new role on July 1. You can learn more about these historical congregations and their ministries here: https://standrewsandstcyprians.org/.

Are you ready? Buckle up! Here’s the Gumulauskas family happenings:

Mike:
– May 12- Graduates from Seminary in Virginia! Whoo hoo! Celebrate with us by watching the livestream. Details and links below.
– June 11- Gets Ordained into the Priesthood in Eau Claire, Wisconsin! You’re invited to join us in person or via livestream. See invite and livestream links below.
– July 1- Starts a new position as Rector in Darien, GA!

LeeAnn:
– Last day of full time work will be June 17! We plan to move to our new home shortly after that. I started an LLC, providing clinical supervision and individual counseling via telehealth, that I can continue (and grow!) from our new home. I plan to grow my business and hopefully not have to say goodbye to my clients.

MyKenzi:
– Graduates from high school in Alexandria, Virginia on June 4! Her Wisconsin family will be traveling down so we can celebrate all together! She will move back to Wisconsin with her mom and consider her next steps of college or taking a gap year.

Ezekiel:
– Finishes first grade a week early (on June 3) to celebrate Kenzi’s graduation and travel to Wisconsin with us for Mike’s ordination. This year he has loved going to school in person and playing tag with friends at the bus stop. His favorite subjects are gym, recess, and lunch- in that order.

Boaz:
– Celebrates finishing 4 year old preschool on May 13 with a picnic! He has enjoyed making friends and having his own “posse” to be with every day. Bo is silly as ever, can write his name and count to 30!

Our time at VTS has been both challenging and wonderful, and our whole family has grown in beautiful ways. More than anything it has been a blessing. God has used this time and place to shape each of us individually, and all of us as a family. We are leaving with dear friendships, seeing God’s hand and work in every aspect of our lives. We are wholly blessed!

Check out Mike’s graduation and ordination details below. We hope you can join us!

With Love, In Christ,
LeeAnn, Mike, MyKenzi, Ezekiel, and Boaz
