Rest in peace Steven Peay
Dear Sister and Brother Clergy,
It is with great sadness that I report to you that Steven Peay died last night. For the past several years he had been battling cancer. While Steven was Dean of Nashotah House he raised more money than any dean in its history. He was a person of enormous integrity and a scholar always devoted to learning more. His specialty was homiletics. He led a workshop retreat for us on preaching. He was a guest speaker at one of our Diocesan Conventions. Steven was our Diocesan Canon for Evangelism. He was a full partner in bringing the four priests from Zimbabwe so they could study and receive degrees from Nashotah and waived all tuition, room, and board fees. Most importantly to me, Steven was my friend. He has stayed overnight in my home in Eau Claire, and he is someone I contacted often for counsel. He will be missed by us as he is cared for by the angels. Please pray for Steven and his beloved wife, Julie.
