Great news about our Diocese!

Dear Sister and Brother Clergy,
I pass this email below from Bob Weathers. He, and all of us, have reason to celebrate!

The Diocese reached a financial milestone yesterday when the buyer of Bundy Hall paid off the remaining $236,000 on their Land Contract Loan.

For the first time in at least 25 years, the Diocese does not have any church buildings standing vacant because of abandonment or closing of a congregation, no property is For Sale or waiting to be sold, there are no outstanding Land Contract Notes Receivable, and the quarter million dollars borrowed from Endowments to pay Operating Expenses some years ago has all been repaid.

As an added bonus, Buffington Trust just doubled the number of 4-plexes it owns from 2 to 4 with the purchase of 2 additional buildings in Altoona in July as it refocuses its ministry to better serve its target population.

We are now out of the banking and Real Estate business, are debt free, and can focus exclusively on the ministry of the Diocese.

Peace.
