“A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still.” This old adage about a general human tendency to have faith in our own reason (even when it is bad reasoning) is played out by two different groups as they live out their belief (or disbelief) in the Resurrection this week’s lessons. So, what do Christians believe about the Resurrection, how does it change our approach to life and love, and finally what parts of our own reasoning must we give up to understand God’s plan?
