Collage of woman flying over map

Collage is very much like magnetic poetry for me. It’s a spontaneous process starting with a good crop of subjects and scissors. With addition and subtraction of this and that, and with attention for the piece unfolding-somewhere along the way meaning is revealed. The materials I use are simple and fun to acquire; old printed materials, 100% beeswax and pure pigments. Some of these collages are likely to be used as sketches for future paintings.

My passions are family, collaborating artistically, foraging for wild edibles, and partaking in the diverse offerings of Wisconsin’s Chippewa and Red Cedar Valleys.
I received my BFA in Graphic Design from College of Visual Arts (Saint Paul, MN) in 1992, and currently freelance as a graphic artist and fine artist.
