Hunger Outreach

Hunger outreach has been one of the cathedral’s most supported and longest running outreach programs.  Christ Church Cathedral is a founding partner of the Feed My People food bank in Eau Claire, as well as being in partnership with the St. Francis Food Pantry.  In addition to these local agencies we regularly host programs for Bread for the World, Food for the Poor, and Heifer International.

Feed My People
in 1980 Christ Church was one of six local congregations that recognized the need for continuous outreach to the hungry in Eau Claire County.  Feed my People is now supported by over 20 congregations, service organizations, and corporations.  Feed my People was the recipient of an National Episcopal Church Jubilee Grant.  The food bank serves 95 agencies, including Community Table. In 2011, they distributed 5.5 million pounds of food.

St Francis Food Pantry
Christ Church Cathedral supports this food pantry, which has served Eau Claire since 1980, with direct donations of non-perishable food every month.
